The Saturday Post: The Day of Legends

The Saturday Post: The Day of Legends

I'm going to keep this short because tomorrow is a long day with good Judo, GoT, & WrestleMania!

Mixed Tape Day 5 is done!  Here's the numbers

Workout: Mixed Tape (5)
Total Workout Time: 35:35
Average Heart Rate: 122bpm
Maximum Heart Rate: 138bpm
Time in the Zone: Around 34 minutes

Tomorrow is my first Judo Tournament after almost 20 years of doing Martial Arts.  Three years ago, I couldn't have dreamed that I would be at this point. After 17 months of this journey, I'm at a point where I'm ready to push myself into places I've been afraid to go.  This is all of DDP.

I posted this earlier today on Facebook for DDP's Birthday:

"The mediocre teacher tells. The good teacher explains. The superior teacher demonstrates. The great teacher inspires." - William Arthur Ward

DDP - When I think of you, I think of this quote. Over the past 17 months, what you have created and what you do every day has inspired me to take my body to places I couldn't have dreamed possible before. The best thing is... even the stuff that I can't do now don't seem impossible anymore!
I hope you have a Great Birthday with your friends & family, doing what you love and enjoying the fruits of your continued labor! Thank you for being one of my Big Inspirations!

Thank You, Diamond Dallas Page, for helping me to step up to.....

The Friday Post: April Showers of Streaking

The Friday Post: April Showers of Streaking

Just got  done with Day 4 of the April Showers of Streaking (as I've decided to call it).  Here are the numbers:

Workout: Mixed Tape(4)
Total Workout Time:35;35(min/sec)
Average Heart Rate: 123bpm
Maximum Heart Rate: 139bpm
Time in the Zone: Around 33 minutes

I'm going to keep this short today.  I'm On Duty for Business Support tomorrow  Therefore, the Workout Plan is going to be Mixed Tape and possibly doing a Level 1 workout with it, as I felt AMAZING after doing that workout series!  Sunday will be a full day of Judo.  I will post results here for anyone that is intersted.

We dodged a bullet with the snow.  They were talking about 9+ inches, shut down school early for the kids, and it was an All Hands On Deck Run & Hide sort of atmosphere.

We ended up getting 2.5" of snow.  Most of that melted today.

The moral of the story here is this:  Even though being prepared is good, there is no use in getting bent out of shape about the future.  A lot of times, you find out that its not nearly as bad as you think its going to be.  Does it help to be prepared?  Absolutely!  Does going crazy, throwing a fit, or getting down on things help you prepare?  Not really.  In a lot of cases, it hinders your preparation & makes you weaker, not stronger.

If you stay calm, focus on things that you can control right now, you will absolutely.....
